A common bus ride for a young boy name CJ and his grandmother who he calls "Nana" starts off with a question from CJ. Through out the bus ride and its route Nana helps CJ understand the differences that the bus riders share. With Nana's help CJ gets more from the bus ride than he knew he would. Graphic novels(GN) help promote reading for enjoyment. Our KCMS students crave graphic novels, comics, anime, and manga. New titles are always being added based on student demands.
A popular read is "This One Summer" by Jullian Tamaki and Maiko Tamaki. This GN is based on a young girls coming to age and a difficult summer. It is sure to bring back memories of summer for many readers.
